Prologue

In a lavish room, a little girl was sleeping peacefully in the protective embrace of her eldest brother and twin. Suddenly, a mysterious figure entered into the room and gazed intently at them. It moved towards the bed and tried to take the little girl however, a hand stopped it.

“Mom?” whisperd the shocked eldest brother. He then composed himself and asked, “What are you doing here at this time?”

“Nothing my dear, I just wanted to Ruhi to sleep with me. Don’t worry.” His mother replied nervously. Divyank stared at his mother but then let her take Ruhi.  He didn’t knew why but something in him warned him not to let Ruhi go. He ignored that weird feeling and lay down again.

As soon as Aruna came out of her son’s room along with her daughter, she called someone and said, “Yes, I am ready. I have taken my youngest daughter with me. Come fast!”

In that dark night, the light of the royal family was taken far away from her family by her own mother who was escaping with her lover.

The next morning, Anant Agnihotri, the king of Jodhpur woke up and did not find his wife beside him. He did not care much about his wife because they had drifted apart just after a few months of the birth of their youngest children but he still respected her as the mother of his kids. However, at that moment he wanted nothing other than to hold his precious daughter in his arms, so he after freshening up hurried to his oldest son’s room. His oldest son was sitting on the bed and looked as if he had just woken up.

“Dad, you here at this time?” asked Divyank. His father replied, “Yes. I came here to meet Anika.”, his father replied impatiently wanting to see his daughter as soon as possible. “But dad, shouldn’t Anika be with you? Mom took her from me last night.”  Before his father could reply anything, they heard a knock on the door. A guard was standing there. He spoke, “Sorry to interrupt Maharaj, but the queen has ran away along with princess.”

As soon as Anant heard this, his heart dropped. He was not able to comprehend anything around him. All he could think about was the fact that his Anika, his princess, the only girl born in their family within 7 generations was taken away from him.

Divyank’s situation was no better. His Anika was very special to him. She was his anchor in this dark world. However, amidst all the emotions he could feel the most prominent was- Guilt. Guilt of letting his mother take away his precious from his arms.

Both father and son vowed that day that they would bring their Anika back to the palace no matter what they need to do for it, they wouldn’t even mind killing someone.
